Ahmar Zaman

Dr. Ahmar Zaman serves as a Career Instructor in Psychology at the University of Oregon's College of Arts and Sciences. His clinical work focuses on forensic psychological evaluations for adolescents in the juvenile justice system, emphasizing racial, cultural identity, and intersectionality. His research examines how mental health, socioeconomic status, and racial/gender identity influence youth becoming justice-involved.

Dr. Zaman earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy (2020), completed a predoctoral internship at Harris County Juvenile Probation's Forensic Department (2020), and a postdoctoral fellowship in adolescent forensic and addiction psychology at Brown University (2021). His work bridges clinical practice with sociocultural analysis in youth justice contexts.
