Agnès Mignot

Agnès Mignot is a Professor at the University of Montpellier and a member of the Evolution and Demography Team at the Institute of Evolutionary Sciences of Montpellier (ISEM). Her research investigates the evolution of reproductive systems in flowering plants, with emphasis on pollen diversity, self-incompatibility mechanisms, and genetic adaptation in natural populations. She utilizes field-based studies in ecologically diverse regions like the Cévennes mountains and South Africa to analyze how environmental constraints and reproductive strategies shape biodiversity.

She holds significant administrative responsibilities including:

• Vice-President for major national projects & administrative simplification (University of Montpellier, 2024–present)
• Former Deputy Scientific Director of INEE at CNRS
• Elected member of the Academic Council (University of Montpellier)
