Agnès Berthelot-Raffard is an Associate Professor at York University's School of Health Policy and Management in Toronto, Canada. She holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Université Panthéon-Sorbonne and the University of Montreal (2012), specializing in Political Philosophy (social ethics) and Feminist Ethics. Her research focuses on gender justice, disability recognition, and racialized dimensions of health equity.

Her work explores Anti-Black racism in health systems, with funded projects from the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), including the Black Students’ Mental Health Project (BSMHP). She leads an intersectional study on Black and Indigenous Women’s Health in Ontario/Quebec and investigates racial bias in Quebec’s reproductive healthcare for Black women. She also created the first accredited university course in the francophone world on Black Feminist Thought (2017).
