Aglaya Snetkov

Aglaya Snetkov is an Associate Professor in International Politics at University College London's School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES), where she has worked since 2018. Previously, she served as a Senior Researcher at ETH Zurich (2010-2019) and held teaching positions at Universities of Zurich, St Gallen, Leicester, Birmingham, and UCLAN. She holds a PhD from the University of Birmingham.

Her research focuses on Russian foreign policy, Eurasian geopolitics, and security studies, with particular attention to Chechen conflict dynamics and Russian state discourse. Key research areas include:
