Afsane Riazi

Dr. Afsane Riazi is an Associate Professor of Psychology in the Department of Social Sciences & Humanities. Her research develops psychological interventions and Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMS) for populations including those with visual impairment, stroke, and long-term conditions.

Her current work examines self-compassion's role in buffering the impact of social media on disordered eating and obesity. Funded by organizations like the Multiple Sclerosis Society, she employs both qualitative and quantitative methods across diverse life stages.
