Adrian Gourlay

Dr. Adrian Gourlay is a Lecturer in Economics and Director of Undergraduate Programmes in Economics at Loughborough Business School, Loughborough University. He holds a BSc from the University of Surrey, an MSc from the University of York, and a PhD from Loughborough University.

His research interests center on applied microeconomics and industrial economics, particularly the diffusion of new technology and firm diversification. Key areas include export behavior, financial sector innovation, and corporate strategic decisions in the UK context.

Recent publications analyze technology diffusion patterns, firm-level export strategies, determinants of diversification in UK markets, and economic decision-making frameworks. These works collectively explore industrial dynamics, financial innovations, and international trade mechanisms.
