Adela Cedillo

Adela Cedillo is Assistant Professor of Modern Mexican History at the University of Houston. She holds a Ph.D. from University of Wisconsin-Madison and M.A. from National Autonomous University of Mexico. Her research examines revolutionary movements, counterinsurgency, human rights, and female activism in Mexico.

Cedillo authored 'El Fuego y El Silencio' on Mexican liberation movements and co-edited 'Challenging Authoritarianism in Mexico'. Her current book project explores intersections between Mexico's dirty war and the war on drugs in the 1970s.
