Adeen Postar is a Professor of Practice and Library Director at American University's Washington College of Law, Pence Law Library. She holds a J.D. from Washington University, an M.L.S. from Catholic University of America, and a B.A. magna cum laude from Washington University. Her expertise spans legal research, law librarianship, and legal education.
Professor Postar specializes in Law and Government, Legal History, and Legal Writing/Research. Her extensive experience includes leadership roles in the American Association of Law Libraries and service as book review editor for the Journal of Legal Education.
Her publications primarily focus on legal research methodologies, library science innovations, and scholarly publishing. Recent works analyze legislative history research techniques, virtual library development, and annotated bibliographies for regional law.
She teaches Advanced Legal Research and Writing while administering the Pence Law Library's operations and resources.
