Adam Wisniewski is Professor and Head of the Chair of Public International Law at the University of Gdańsk's Faculty of Law and Administration. Specializing in international human rights protection, he focuses particularly on the European Court of Human Rights and international judicial systems. In 2024, he was designated by Poland's Ministry of Foreign Affairs as one of four ad hoc judges for the European Court of Human Rights.
His research examines contemporary applications of human rights law, with expertise in European human rights mechanisms and international legal frameworks. Previously served on the Advisory Board of Balex (University of Turku and Åbo Akademi) and currently serves on the Advisory Legal Committee to Poland's Minister of Foreign Affairs.
