Adam Ramshaw is an Assistant Professor at Northumbria Law School, Northumbria University. His research focuses on human rights, constitutional law, legal theory, and property law, with a particular interest in proportionality analysis in fundamental rights cases. Prior to academia, he worked as a paralegal at Bond Dickinson, advising the UK Secretary of State for Business, Innovation, and Skills. He holds a Law PhD (2017) and LLB (2012), and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
Adam’s professional activities include membership in the UKRI Talent Peer Review College and peer-review roles for publishers like Hart and Oxford University Press. He supervises PhD students researching topics such as Irish subordinate legislation, abeyance of title in the Irish Free State, and land transactions under the Housing and Planning Act 2016.
