Adam Naples

Adam Naples, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Child Study Center at Yale School of Medicine. His research focuses on the neural and cognitive mechanisms underlying developmental disorders, particularly autism. He holds a PhD in Psychology from Yale University and completed postdoctoral training in developmental psychopathology. Naples is affiliated with the McPartland Lab and collaborates on projects within the Autism Biomarkers Consortium for Clinical Trials (ABC-CT). His work integrates EEG, eye-tracking, and PET imaging to study social perception, neural development, and synaptic density in autism. Key research themes include visual attention, social anxiety, and biomarker development for clinical trials. Naples has mentored numerous graduate and undergraduate students and postdoctoral fellows. His lab explores translational approaches to improve early diagnosis and interventions for neurodevelopmental disorders.
