Adam Monahan

Adam Monahan is a Professor in the School of Earth and Ocean Sciences at the University of Victoria, specializing in theoretical climate dynamics, boundary-layer meteorology, and stochastic processes in ocean/atmosphere systems. He holds a BSc from the University of Calgary and MSc/PhD from the University of British Columbia. His research focuses on climate variability, renewable energy meteorology, and biogeochemical dynamics. Monahan leads the UVic Climate Modelling Group and teaches courses on Earth System Modelling and Atmospheric Sciences. His work integrates observational analysis with stochastic parameterization techniques to advance understanding of climate system processes.
