About
Dr. Rabbi Adam Mintz serves as Talmud faculty at Yeshivat Maharat and is the founder/rabbi of Kehilat Rayim Ahuvim on Manhattan's Upper West Side. He directs 929 English, a digital library featuring over 700 contemporary writers analyzing every chapter of the Tanach.
His scholarly focus spans Jewish Law, Jewish Spirituality, and Interfaith Relations within Orthodox Judaism. Mintz advocates for integrating critical textual analysis with traditional Torah study, emphasizing dialogue between academic and religious approaches to scripture.
Key contributions include foundational work on community eruvin (ritual boundaries) in North America and examinations of Orthodox Jewish relations with other religious groups. His methodology promotes balanced Torah scholarship that respects both traditional interpretation and academic inquiry.
Mintz received rabbinic ordination (Yoreh Yoreh and Yadin Yadin) from RIETS (1985-1986) and earned his Ph.D. from New York University (2011). He actively bridges academic rigor with practical rabbinic leadership through his congregational and educational roles.
