Adam Luftman

Adam Luftman is a Lecturer at the San Francisco Conservatory, University of California, Berkeley, and San Francisco State University. A professional trumpeter from Longmeadow, Massachusetts, he serves as Principal Trumpet of the San Francisco Opera and San Francisco Ballet Orchestras, and has held positions with esteemed ensembles like the Baltimore Symphony and Civic Orchestra of Chicago.

Mr. Luftman’s expertise spans classical and jazz trumpet performance, with extensive experience in orchestral work, solo performances, and collaborations with groups such as Bay Brass and SF Contemporary Music Players. He has toured internationally and recorded with top orchestras, including contributions to movie soundtracks at Skywalker Ranch.

He conducts masterclasses at institutions like the Curtis Institute and Cleveland Institute of Music, emphasizing brass pedagogy and performance. His career highlights include summer festival appearances at Tanglewood and Aspen, and recordings with the Philadelphia Orchestra and San Francisco Symphony.

Mr. Luftman is married to Reva and has a daughter, Riley, residing in San Francisco.
