Adam K. Jacob

Dr. Adam K. Jacob is a Professor of Anesthesiology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and serves as a Consultant in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He holds multiple leadership positions including Medical Director of the PreOperative Evaluation Division and serves on numerous committees focused on education, clinical practice, and quality improvement.

Dr. Jacob's research focuses on improving the quality and safety of regional anesthesia through three main areas: evaluation of adverse events (particularly neurological complications), utilization of medical informatics to research perioperative outcomes, and application of multidisciplinary evidence-based clinical protocols. His work aims to minimize complications and enhance patient recovery throughout the surgical experience.

With expertise in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia and perioperative clinical pathways, Dr. Jacob collaborates extensively with surgeons, nurses, pharmacists, and physical therapists to develop comprehensive care approaches.
