Adam Hayes is a Professor of Music and Chair of the Department of Fine Arts at Berry College in Rome, Georgia. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, a Master of Music from the University of New Mexico, and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Georgia. His expertise spans trumpet performance, new music commissioning, and jazz education.

Hayes is an internationally recognized performer with over 40 professional orchestras, including the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chattanooga Symphony. His scholarly contributions include articles in the International Trumpet Guild Journal and the textbook In Theory: The Trumpet.
Leadership roles include Board Member of the Trumpet Festival of the Southeast, past president of the Georgia Association of Jazz Educators, and adjudicator for the National Trumpet Competition. He is an artist-endorser for Eastman and Shires Trumpets.
