Adam Crerar

Adam Crerar serves as Associate Professor in the Department of History at Wilfrid Laurier University's Faculty of Arts, Waterloo campus, where he has taught continuously since 2002.

His academic credentials include:

• PhD in History from the University of Toronto (1999)
• Postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Western Ontario (2001/02)

Specializing in modern Canadian history, Crerar focuses on social and cultural dimensions of rural life with particular emphasis on Ontario. His current research examines evolving perceptions of rural-urban relationships in Ontario during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, analyzing how these dynamics shaped regional identities and societal transformations. This work bridges agricultural history with cultural studies to illuminate foundational aspects of Canadian societal development.
