Adam Cohn

Adam Cohn is an Assistant Professor of Spanish and affiliated faculty in Jewish Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He specializes in modern Spanish cultural production.

• Hispanic Jewish Studies
• Spanish Civil War literature
• The work of Federico García Lorca
• Sephardi Studies
• Literary translation

He is currently working on a book examining Spanish philosephardic literary culture (1900-1950), its critique of the nation-state, and its role in advancing Jewish intellectuals in the public sphere. This project engages themes of memory, coloniality, and diaspora.
