Adam Clulow

Adam Clulow is Professor of History at UT Austin, specializing in transnational encounters in early modern Asia. His research examines commodity wars, colonial violence, and legal innovation during European expansion.

He directs the History Games Initiative creating educational tools like Ghosts over the Water and leads the Virtual Angkor project reconstructing medieval Cambodian metropolis environments.

Honors include the Herbert Feis Award for public history contributions and multiple book prizes for works on Dutch-Japanese encounters.
