Adam Birnbaum is an Associate Professor of Jazz Studies at the State University of New York at Purchase Conservatory of Music. A graduate of The Juilliard School's inaugural jazz program, he has established himself as a prominent jazz pianist, composer, and educator through performances at iconic venues like the Village Vanguard and international festivals including Montreal Jazz Festival and Capetown Jazz Festival.

Birnbaum’s research and creative work focuses on jazz piano performance, contemporary jazz composition, and cross-genre chamber music arrangements.
