Adam Bateson

Dr. Adam Bateson is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the Department of Meteorology at the University of Reading. His research focuses on understanding Arctic sea ice dynamics, particularly the roles of floe size distribution, fragmentation processes, and melt patterns in climate modeling. He holds a PhD from the University of Reading (2021), where his thesis investigated Fragmentation and Melting of the Seasonal Sea Ice Cover. His work integrates high-resolution satellite data with advanced climate models to evaluate Arctic ice behavior under changing environmental conditions.
