About
Ada Sze Sze Chan is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Science, York University, Toronto, Canada. She earned her Ph.D. in Combinatorics and Optimization (2001) and Bachelor/Master in Mathematics (1994/1995) from the University of Waterloo, supervised by C.D. Godsil.
Research Interests include Algebraic Combinatorics, Algebraic Graph Theory, Association Schemes, Type-II Matrices, Jones Pairs, Spin Models, and Quantum Walks. Her work explores connections between combinatorial structures and quantum information, focusing on complex Hadamard matrices, fractional revival in graphs, and graph eigenvalue properties.
Recent Publications highlight advancements in quantum walks, fractional revival, and association schemes, with applications to quantum computing and spectral graph theory. Awards include prestigious scholarships like the Sinclair Scholarship and ASCIT Teaching Award. She actively supervises NSERC USRA/DURA undergraduates, M.Sc., and Ph.D. students in combinatorics.
