Ada Stelzer is a 5th-year PhD student in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, affiliated with the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. Her research focuses on algebraic geometry and combinatorics, particularly homological invariants of ideals arising in Schubert calculus.
- Education: B.A. in Mathematics and Linguistic Anthropology from Lawrence University (2021); M.S. in Mathematics from UIUC (2023).
Her work bridges abstract algebraic structures with computational methods. She contributes to education and outreach through the Association for Women in Mathematics, Illinois Mathematics Lab, Illinois Combinatorics Lab, and Summer Illinois Mathematics camp. She will be on the job market during the 2025-2026 academic year.
