Abril Castro Aguilera

Abril Castro Aguilera is a Researcher at the Hylleraas Centre for Quantum Molecular Sciences, University of Oslo. She holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Girona (2017) and has held postdoctoral positions at the University of Guanajuato (Mexico) and the University of Oslo. Her research focuses on computational NMR spectroscopy of transition-metal complexes, ab initio molecular dynamics, relativistic quantum methods, and DFT modeling.

Notable achievements include a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship (2019–2021) and the National Chemistry Prize for Best Master’s Thesis (2013). Her work has been supported by grants such as the Young Research Talent grant from the Research Council of Norway.
