Abigail Kabandula

Dr. Abigail Kabandula is Adjunct Faculty and Director of the Africa Center at the University of Denver's Josef Korbel School of International Studies. Her research examines global governance, human security, and conflict dynamics in Africa.

Focus areas include African peace architectures, Gulf-Africa geopolitical relations, and multilateral responses to violence. Recent work analyzes Saudi/UAE influence in East Africa and Women Peace Security agenda implementation.

Publications address African Continental Free Trade Agreement success factors and AMISOM's counterterrorism operations. Dr. Kabandula maintains research collaborations across Africa and advises on policy frameworks.
