Abigail Hunt is Professor of Practice at Nottingham University Business School, specializing in creating inclusive narratives in archaeology and public history. She holds multiple degrees including a PhD from the University of Lincoln, MEd from the University of Glasgow, PG Diploma from Nottingham Trent University, and BA(Hons) from the University of Liverpool. Her research critically examines traditional historical narratives to develop multivocal perspectives through oral history and community engagement.
Research focuses on accessibility in archaeology through her role as Director of the Enabled Archaeology Foundation, where she leads initiatives to eliminate barriers for disabled archaeologists. Current projects analyze changing rural/urban landscapes and disability inclusion in heritage settings. Hunt has created nationally significant oral history archives on 20th-century agriculture and developed inclusive pedagogies recognized through Principal Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (2014).
