Abdullah Almasri

Dr. Abdullah Almasri is an Assistant Professor at the School of Mathematical & Computer Sciences, Heriot-Watt University Malaysia Campus. Previously, he worked at the Faculty of Business and Technology, Unitar International University (2015–2020). His research focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Blockchain Technology, particularly in Identity Management and Cloud Security, with funding from the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education (FRGS).

His recent work includes a funded project on identity management using blockchain and a review on cloud computing privacy challenges. He also investigates spiking neural networks and supervised learning algorithms in medical imaging.

Recent Contributions: His publications address blockchain-based authentication systems, privacy in cloud storage, and neural network dynamics. Notable works include Trust models for blockchain-based self-sovereign identity management (2022) and AuthChain: a decentralized blockchain-based authentication system (2020).

Grants & Collaborations: His Identity Management project is supported by the FRGS grant. He collaborates internationally and participated in the 2022 PURE Workshop for MACS.
