Key Contributions
Dr. Maruf developed pharmacogenetic research facilities in Bangladesh, published the first paper on drug-metabolizing enzyme polymorphisms in the Bangladeshi population during his M.Pharm, and played a pivotal role in launching Canada’s first pharmacogenetic testing service in Western Canada to improve mental health drug treatment outcomes.
