Abderrahim Agnaou

Dr. Abderrahim Agnaou serves as an Associate Professor of Communications & Rhetoric at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco, within the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. He has been a full-time faculty member since 2006 and currently holds dual administrative roles as Academic Coordinator for Undergraduate Programs and University GenEd Coordinator overseeing the Liberal Arts curriculum.

His educational background includes a doctorate in Applied Linguistics with a specialization in Educational Technology, complemented by four years of industry experience as a Multimedia & E-learning Manager in Casablanca prior to his academic career.

Dr. Agnaou's research program integrates technological innovation with pedagogical excellence across multiple domains: educational technology, digital humanities, distance education, multimedia instructional design, and community-engaged service learning. His work emphasizes practical applications for institutional effectiveness, quality assurance, and strategic planning in higher education contexts.

Through sustained institutional leadership, Dr. Agnaou has significantly shaped academic governance at Al Akhawayn University. His committee service spans student mobility, community engagement, disciplinary oversight, and accreditation processes, including chairing the CEA Accreditation Steering Committee. He actively contributes to the broader academic community through conference organization and journal reviewing.

Dr. Agnaou chairs the biennial Conference on Civic Engagement and Service Learning in Higher Education and serves as a reviewer for the International Journal of Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement (IJRSLCE), maintaining strong connections between his administrative responsibilities and scholarly contributions.
