Abdallah S. Abdallah

Abdallah S. Abdallah is an Associate Professor of Computer and Electrical Engineering at Western Carolina University (WCU), effective January 2025. Previously (2017-2024), he held roles as Assistant and tenured Associate Professor at Penn State Erie – The Behrend College, where he founded the IoT@Behrend Research Lab. His expertise bridges academia and industry, with prior experience at Intel Corporation as an embedded systems engineer and freelance work in embedded systems development.

• Education: Ph.D. & M.Sc. in Computer Engineering (Virginia Tech, 2016/2007); B.Sc. from a foreign institution

Research focuses on wireless networks, IoT, video streaming optimization, radar sensing for automotive systems, and machine learning applications. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and teaches courses in programming, data structures, digital systems design, and applied AI. Certified as a NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute instructor.

Industry collaborations include Intel and Broadcom, where he worked on wireless standards and LTE device testing. His work emphasizes translating research into product development and technological innovation.
