Abby Day

Dr. Abby Day is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Kent, specializing in the anthropology of religion. Her research examines belief and social identity, particularly through qualitative longitudinal studies. She co-organized the AHRC/ESRC Religion & Society Project 'Young People and the Cultural Performance of Belief' and authored Believing in Belonging: Belief and Social Identity in the Modern World (2011) and edited Religion and the Individual (2008). Her work challenges conventional views of religious belief by exploring its intersection with secular and cultural contexts.
