Abbas Haider is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Brunel University London, affiliated with the College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences. He is currently based at the Brunel London School at NCUT in Beijing, China. Prior to joining Brunel, he served as an Assistant Professor in Geotechnical Engineering at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan, from 2020 to 2024.

As an educator, he teaches courses such as Soil Mechanics, Soil Dynamics, Engineering Mechanics, and Computational Structural Analysis. His professional affiliations include membership in the Pakistan Engineering Council, the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, the International Society of Rock Mechanics, the Pakistan Engineering Congress, and the Institution of Engineer Pakistan.
