Aasim Ali

Aasim Ali is a Researcher at the Norwegian Institute of Marine Research's Department of Contaminants and Biohazard, where he develops advanced analytical methods to study environmental contaminants. His research examines the fate, bioaccumulation, and exposure pathways of legacy and emerging organic pollutants—particularly PFAS, microplastics, and pharmaceuticals—in marine ecosystems. He leads the NFR-funded project 'FEARLESS' (2023-2026) focusing on organofluorine substances in Norwegian seafood chains.
