Aaron Landsman is a Lecturer in Theater and the Lewis Center for the Arts at Princeton University. He holds a B.F.A. in Experimental Theater from New York University. His creative practice focuses on site-specific performances staged in unconventional locations including homes, offices, buses, and theaters.
Landsman's research explores participatory theater, civic engagement through performance, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Current projects include City Council Meeting (a collaborative work examining civic processes), a new commission from EMPAC, and the multi-platform Perfect City initiative. He maintains active collaborations with directors, designers, and filmmakers across the United States.
As an artist-in-residence at ASU Gammage (Tempe, AZ), Landsman bridges academic and professional theater realms. His performance background includes acting work with Elevator Repair Service Theater, Richard Maxwell, and other experimental theater companies.
