Aaron Carlstrom

Dr. Aaron Carlstrom serves as Associate Professor and co-director of the undergraduate Mental Health Skills Certificate at University of Wisconsin-Parkside. She developed and formerly directed the Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program.

Her teaching focuses on counseling theories, psychological assessment, vocational guidance, and abnormal psychology at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Research examines career development processes, academic advising efficacy, and value congruence in work-life integration.

Publications include studies on work value articulation in student populations, national assessments of academic advising practices, and psychological factors influencing career adaptability. Her scholarship informs counseling approaches to vocational decision-making and educational support systems.
