Aaron Apawu

Aaron Apawu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Northern Colorado, within the College of Natural and Health Sciences. His research focuses on the neurochemical impacts of environmental contaminants (e.g., noise, solvents) on brain chemistry, with emphasis on dopamine signaling in auditory pathways and inhalant abuse mechanisms. He employs electrochemical methods, imaging, and molecular assays in rodent models to study these phenomena.
