ANTON LEANDRO MARTINEZ RODRIGUEZ

Anton Leandro Martinez Rodriguez is an Assistant Professor at the University of Santiago de Compostela, affiliated with the Department of Pharmacology, Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology within the Faculty of Pharmacy. He is part of the BioFarma research group focusing on membrane biology and signal transduction mechanisms in applied pharmacology, and is associated with the Center for Research in Molecular Medicine and Chronic Diseases (CIMUS).

He earned his PhD in 2018 from the University of Santiago de Compostela with a thesis titled Development of in vitro pain models and their application to high-throughput screening, advised by Dr. M. Isabel Loza García and Dr. Javier Burgueño Hurtado.

His research interests center on pharmacological methodologies, particularly in vitro pain models and their application to drug screening. His work bridges membrane biology and translational research, aiming to advance pharmaceutical technologies and pain management strategies.
