ANNA JONES

Anna Jones is a Senior Lecturer in Physical Geography, affiliated with the Department of History, Geography & Social Sciences. Her research spans Holocene climate studies, flood dynamics in the UK, and advanced sedimentological techniques like Itrax XRF core-scanning.

Research Interests include:

• Quaternary environmental change
• Flood frequency and paleoflood analysis
• X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy
• River landscape evolution
• Floodplain sedimentology

Education includes a BA in Geography (European Studies) from Durham University, an MSc in Geomorphology and Environmental Change (Durham University), and a PhD from the University of Wales.
