A. Jordan Wright is a Clinical Associate Professor and Program Director of the combined Clinical/Counseling Psychology PhD program at NYU’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. He holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University and an MA in Psychology in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. His academic roles include founding director of the Center for Counseling and Community Wellbeing (CCCW) and coordinator of NYU’s psychological assessment curriculum.
His research focuses on LGBTQIA+ psychology, psychological assessment, and cultural competence. Key contributions include widely cited textbooks such as Conducting Psychological Assessment and Handbook of Psychological Assessment, as well as the development of the Wright-Constantine Structured Cultural Interview (WCSCI).
