A. J. Verdelle

A. J. Verdelle serves as an Associate Professor and Coordinator of Creative Writing at the Department of English and Language Arts, Morgan State University's College of Liberal Arts. Specializing in creative non-fiction, Verdelle is recognized for her literary works including the memoir Miss Chloe, documenting her friendship with Toni Morrison, and the novel The Good Negress. Her research focuses intersect with African American literature, memoir writing, and creative non-fiction.
